The Cardiovascular Risk Assessment Methodology has been completed. The conclusions of the document show that:
"Cardiovascular risk assessment is essential for family physician patients, as intervention in primary medicine - first by identifying and then by reducing this risk with the patient, will significantly reduce cardiovascular mortality, while reducing the financial burden on the system. health and even patients, by avoiding the onset of these conditions and their effects (comorbidities, decreased quality of life, complications, side effects caused by medication, even death). "
Also, the paper identifies a series of barriers in the correct functioning of the evaluation-monitoring-treatment circuit: "Considering the load of family doctors, especially with acute patients and - at the same time - limiting the number of settled consultations / day, we observe the first barrier in applying the cardiovascular risk assessment (and not only), as well as the related prevention.Another debatable aspect is the score given for a preventive consultation (evaluation of an asymptomatic person) of 5.5 points compared to 15 points for the consultation (monitoring) a person with a chronic condition (which generally consists in issuing the prescription based on the recommendation of the specialist doctor or sending the patient back for a check-up - issuing a referral note) ".
